アルバニア語の文字と発音

アルバニア語の文字は３６文字、ラテン文字を使います。

英語のアルファベットとほぼ同様ですが、w の文字は使いません。そして ç（[t͡ʃ]）と ë（[ə]）を使います。

ë は曖昧母音を表す母音ですが、語尾の ë は（ほとんど）発音されません。

母音は a e ë i o u y の７つです。

その他９つの二重子音があるのもアルバニア語の特徴です。dh gj ll nj rr sh th xh zh の９つは一文字扱いで用いられます。
