アルバニア語の文字と発音
アルバニア語のアルファベットは36文字で、ラテン文字を使用します。
英語のアルファベットに近い構成ですが、w は使われません。代わりに ç（[t͡ʃ]） や ë（[ə]） など、独自の文字が含まれています。

ë は曖昧母音（シュワー）を表す母音ですが、語尾に現れる ë は通常ほとんど発音されません。
アルバニア語には、a, e, ë, i, o, u, y の7つの母音があります。
その他９つの二重子音があるのもアルバニア語の特徴です。dh gj ll nj rr sh th xh zh の９つは一文字扱いで用いられます。
